Hinterland blocks — Tallai, Mudgeeraba, Bonogin, Currumbin Valley, Worongary — almost always need benching, retaining batter cuts and split-level slab prep. We bench to engineer's drawings, set up retaining wall trenches in the same visit, and route surface water away from the new pad. One crew, one machine, one day instead of three.
Sloping block excavationStandard suburban Gold Coast blocks (Robina, Mermaid Waters, Helensvale, Burleigh Waters) almost always restrict access — fences, paving, neighbour's wall. Our 1.7T fits through a 900mm gate. For sub-900mm we sub-hire a 1.0T machine. Sub-750mm we crane in. We've worked jobs where a wheelbarrow couldn't get past the meter box.
