A big milestone out at Greenbank — the site cut on Sikander's dream home is finished.
This one has been a journey we've loved sharing. From marking out the levels and footprint on day one, to moving over 700m³ of soil to cut and fill the three levels, to passing compaction testing at six times the minimum requirement — every stage has been about doing it right the first time.
Three levels, one big block
The block is now benched into its levels for the house pad, guest house pad and shed pad — each one cut and shaped so the whole property ties together. Standing at the bottom of the cut and looking across it, you really get a sense of the scale of what's coming: a seven-bedroom, five-bathroom family home with a separate guest house and a large shed.
What's next
With the cut finished, the project moves into its next stage — foundations, the sandstone retaining walls across the property, and the structural steel beams John will be fabricating for the home itself. We'll keep sharing the progress as it happens, and we've got plenty more photos from the cut to share soon.
