The excavation runs $3,500–$7,000 depending on size and rock — sandy, easy-access blocks sit at the lower end, rocky or tight-access blocks at the top. Spoil removal (cart-away) is usually around $2,000 on top, quoted as its own line. Heavy hinterland rock or canal-front dewatering is priced separately. Always priced after a free site visit — never blind phone quotes.
Local rock note: Jimboomba ground is mostly deep clay and alluvial soils on the flats near the Logan and Albert rivers, firming to clay over rock on the higher acreage. Flood-prone flats can need imported fill and careful pad levels; elevated blocks can hit rock. A site visit lets us price fill and rock properly.
