Land Clearing Gold Coast — Sollid Solutions

LAND CLEARING — GOLD COAST & BRISBANE

Land clearing on the Gold Coast covers everything from a single overgrown house block in Pimpama to a 5-acre acreage clearing in Ormeau or Mudgeeraba. We've cleared blocks for builders, developers, owner-builders and acreage owners across SEQ, and the gear and approach is the same: leave the block ready to build, not just ready for the next contractor.

Vegetation clearing on residential blocks: small trees, scrub, blackberry, lantana, weed regrowth, garden waste — pushed up, mulched on site or carted off. We use a 5T excavator with a thumb attachment for trees up to 200mm trunk, a positrack for pushing up scrub, and a tipper to cart off mulch and stumps. Most quarter-acre blocks clear in 1–2 days.

Stump removal is its own job and we price it separately. A 200mm stump comes out in 10 minutes with the excavator. A 600mm gum stump on basalt rock is a half-day job. We give you a clear per-stump or hourly rate before we start, depending on what we're looking at.

Acreage clearing — 1 to 5+ acres for a new house build, equestrian property, hobby farm, subdivision — runs differently. We strip and stockpile topsoil first (it's worth $30–60 per cubic metre and you'll want it back later), push up vegetation into windrows, and mulch or burn (council permitting). Bigger jobs we sub-hire a mulcher to chip everything on site rather than carting it off.

Council and vegetation rules in QLD: you'll need a clearing approval for protected vegetation, especially on acreage. Your block's clearing entitlement is based on its zoning and vegetation mapping. We're not lawyers and we won't clear protected vegetation without a permit — we ask to see the approval before we start, and we'll help you through the basics if you're new to it.

Stockpile management on acreage clearing matters as much as the clearing itself. Topsoil stockpiled separately, mulch piled where it can be reused or carted off, stumps piled for tip or landscaping reuse, rock piled for landscaping or removal. We map out the stockpile zones with you before the first push so you're not paying us to move the same dirt twice.
