MINI EXCAVATOR HIRE GOLD COAST — WITH OPERATOR

Mini excavator hire on the Gold Coast covers everything from a half-day drainage trench in a Robina backyard to a full-week landscaping prep on a Tallai acreage. We do wet hire only — that means the machine comes with an experienced operator who's been on the tools for years and knows how to read site conditions, soil types, and the bucket. You pay for the result, not the learning curve.

Our fleet covers the full residential range: 1.0T (sub-hired) for 750mm tight access, 1.7T for 900mm tight access and most backyard work, 5T for standard residential and acreage work, and a 5T with hydraulic breaker for rocky hinterland blocks. Bigger machines (8T, 13T, 20T) we sub-hire on demand from regular partners.

Hourly rates run $150–$250/hour depending on machine size, with a 4-hour minimum. Day rates (8 hours on site) usually save 5–15% compared to straight hourly. Most residential jobs are quoted as a fixed price after a site visit so you know exactly what it'll cost — but for variable jobs (rocky digs, drainage with unknowns) hourly is the honest way.

What we use mini excavators for most: drainage trenches, retaining wall trenches, tight-access pool digs, footing trenches, garden bed excavation, stump removal, irrigation trenching, fence post extraction, paving and slab strip-out, granny flat slab digs, and backyard landscaping prep.

Day-of-job logistics: the machine arrives on a tilt-tray at the start of the day, on the tools by 7am, breaks for lunch, finishes by 4–5pm. We bring our own ground protection mats for lawns, our own silt fencing for slopes, and a tipper truck if spoil needs to leave site. You get a clean operation start to finish.

Insurance and compliance: every job we do is covered by full public liability insurance plus workers comp on the operator. Documentation supplied to your builder, body corporate or council on request before the job starts. SWMS available for sites that need them.
