Ormeau Hills Backyard Cut, Fill & Level

Project Scope

A sloping backyard on an Ormeau Hills block cut and filled into one flat, level area — set up as a turf-ready family yard. The fill was brought in from the block next door to build the low side up to level.

The Challenge

The backyard fell away across the block, so there was no usable flat area for the family to enjoy. To level it without paying to cart fill in from a quarry, the low side had to be built up — and there was suitable fill available on the block next door, which needed to be moved across, spread and trimmed to a consistent level.
