We were recently called out to repair a timber side fence after a truck reversed into it and damaged one of the posts.
As this was an insurance claim, the approved scope only covered the damaged section. The existing gate and the fence on the opposite side were significantly out of alignment and showing signs of age, however they were not included in the repair works.
This meant the challenge wasn't just replacing the damaged post and rail — it was making the new section work with an existing fence line and gate that were already well out of square.
John removed the damaged section, installed new treated timber posts and rails, and adjusted everything as best as possible to suit the existing structure while staying within the insurance-approved scope.
